Psychotherapy

James Masten, PhD, LCSW is a psychotherapist practicing at Hanover Square in the Financial District in Downtown Manhattan.  Dr. Masten works with young, midlife and older adults – men and women, straight, gay and questioning, from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds who are seeking help with a wide range of issues, including: anxiety, depression, trauma, compulsions, recovery, health, work, self-esteem, image, identity, aging, sexuality and relationships.

Psychotherapy is most successful in an atmosphere of warmth, humor, and non-judgemental support.  I use my training and experience to provide real guidance for people wishing to remove blocks to personal and professional fulfillment, develop greater personal insight, and confront negative patterns of behavior.
